By accessing or using the CaptureAPI service ("Service"), including our website at captureapi.dev and our application programming interface (API), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and CaptureAPI ("we", "us", "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service.
CaptureAPI provides a cloud-based API for generating website screenshots, converting HTML to PDF documents, and creating Open Graph images. The Service includes:
To use the API, you must register for an account by providing a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your API key or account.
You may not create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this provision.

Each subscription plan includes specific rate limits and monthly request quotas. Exceeding these limits will result in API requests being throttled or rejected with a 429 status code. We provide rate limit information in response headers to help you manage your usage.
We reserve the right to implement additional rate limits or restrictions to ensure fair use and protect the Service from abuse, even within your plan's stated limits.
Free tier usage is available without payment. Paid plans require a valid payment method and are billed monthly through Stripe. All prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of CaptureAPI and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Content generated through the API (screenshots, PDFs, OG images) is your property. However, we retain no ownership over or responsibility for the content of the web pages you capture or convert.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Screenshots and PDFs generated through the API may be temporarily cached on our servers for performance optimization. Cached content is automatically deleted within 24 hours. We do not access, review, or analyze the content of your API requests except as necessary for troubleshooting or to comply with legal obligations.
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for the API. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
Enterprise plan customers may be eligible for a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with defined uptime guarantees and service credits.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAPTUREAPI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CaptureAPI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include violation of these Terms, failure to pay, or extended inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CaptureAPI operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
